1961 Modena Ferrari GT250

Owner said, we are currently taking SERIOUS OFFERS on this amazing recreation 1961 Ferrari GT250 California spider that was one of the cars, from my research, commissioned by Ferrari and built by Modena for the very well known movie "Ferris Buellar's Day Off".

From 1987 to 1989 the company called Modena Design produced replica's of Ferrari's famed 250 GT California Spider. A fiberglass body is fitted to a highly engineered tube frame with a reliable powerful Ford V8 engine. The cars are strikingly accurate. and "many" would never be able to tell the real 250 Cal Spyder and the Modena replica apart from the outside. This is precisely why the Modena's were used in the movie Ferris Bueller's day off. It is also why Ferrari sued Modena Design and won a cease and desist order and destroyed the remaining unsold cars

Modena's are very rare and rarely come on the market.

Registered and titled as a 61, with the correct Ferrari VIN plate and is number 14 of the 32 built by Modena. Stamped by Trey Griffith at the Modena factory, this recreation of a Ferrari 250 GT Short Wheel base California Spyder will leave anyone speechless

These are a very sought after car and are collected by Ferrari owners worldwide as there were a very limited number of them made by Modena. 32 to be exact. This has only made these cars ever more popular because now everyone knows how well they were made. All these factors made the Modena recreations collectible in their own right and very unique. (if odd. part of Ferrari History).
This is a great example of a very unique and rare collector car with super low documented miles.

It took me 8-10 years to find this one. The last Modena GT250 (used in the movie) sold at Mecum last year for $265,000 and that was not restored (after buyers/sellers/auction fees, possibly $300,000). We believe that we have priced this one accordingly without the hype of an auction.

Clear Florida Title and in my wife's name

This is a complete frame off restoration and has done only 100 miles since completion.

Brand NEW 363W Cui V8 with ZERO miles (506Hp) TREMEC TKO600 5 speed, Heidts independent rear with 4 wheel disc brakes. Leather interior, correct knock off centre wire wheels, correct Ferrari Nardi steering wheel

Although this is not a $8million dollar original 250, the Modena builds are RARE. Make no mistake...this is a very sought after car and will no doubt look insane in any car collection. For most people...they will never see a car like this in their lifetime....Imagine driving it into a local car show

YES...its draws attention...LOTS OF IT

Whoever buys this car, will soon learn what I mean by this. If your married...this probably isnt the car for you
